Returns

Due to the intimate nature of fragrance, all perfume sales are final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on opened or used fragrances.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at stella@descieuxnyc.com with your order number and photographs of the package and product.

 

Fragrance Disclaimer

Fragrance is highly personal.

Individual perception of scent varies based on skin chemistry, environment, previous fragrance exposure, and other factors.

A fragrance that smells different than expected, performs differently than anticipated, or is simply not to your personal taste does not constitute a defect.

We strongly recommend purchasing a discovery set before purchasing a full-size bottle if you are unfamiliar with a fragrance.

 

Allergies & Skin Sensitivity

All Des Cieux fragrances contain aromatic materials that may cause irritation or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for reviewing all listed fragrance notes and ingredients when provided.

  • You understand that allergic reactions and skin sensitivities are possible with any cosmetic or fragrance product.

  • You should discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs.

  • You should avoid spraying fragrance directly onto broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.

  • Des Cieux shall not be held liable for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or misuse of our products except where required by applicable law.

If you have a history of fragrance allergies, asthma, eczema, or sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing before regular use.

 

Product Variations

Each bottle is filled by hand.

Minor variations in color, sediment, clarity, or natural aging may occur, particularly in fragrances containing natural materials.

These variations are normal and do not affect product quality.

 

 

Shipping Policy

Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery by the shipping carrier.

Please ensure your shipping address is accurate before placing your order.

Des Cieux is not responsible for:

  • packages delivered to an incorrect address entered by the customer

  • theft after confirmed delivery

  • delays caused by carriers

  • weather delays

  • customs processing

  • carrier service interruptions

 

Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

To protect both our customers and our business, every order is reviewed for fraud prevention.

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • the billing information provided is accurate;

  • you are the authorized cardholder;

  • you will first contact Des Cieux regarding any order concerns before initiating a payment dispute.

Initiating a chargeback for a valid order without first contacting us may result in future orders being refused.

We reserve the right to submit all relevant documentation to the payment processor, including order confirmations, tracking information, delivery confirmation, communications, IP address records, and fraud-screening verification to dispute fraudulent chargebacks.

 

Incorrect Address

Orders returned due to an incorrect address supplied by the customer may be reshipped at the customer's expense.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

 

Lost or Stolen Packages

If tracking shows a package as delivered, please contact the carrier first.

Des Cieux cannot replace or refund orders marked as delivered by the carrier except where required by law.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Des Cieux shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the purchase or use of its products.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

 

Intellectual Property

All product names, fragrance names, photography, artwork, copy, branding, bottle designs, graphics, and website content are the exclusive property of Des Cieux and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.

 

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
